Paintings a Day 262-265

So this batch of paintings brings us to the beginning of the last stretch of year, the final 100.  I have done 265 paintings over the past 265 days.  When I started out I had no idea if I was going to be able to keep it up, but it seems like it's working so far.  Now I don't want to jinx anything because we are going on a road trip this week, down to Washington DC and Atlanta.  With the seven kids.  In two cars.  It will be an adventure for sure!  So once again the posing of my paintings will be delayed for a couple of weeks, but I will be faithfully painting everyday, and Ill have lots to tell you all when we get back.

Here's today's painting.  I can't believe that we're already halfway through August, and the back to school rush is already upon us.  Crazy.

So we have been away for the last few days, camping out at Fergus for the Highland games where our daughter was competing in the dancing competition on both days.  She made a respectable showing on the second day of competition, but got the Overall Winner trophy in her age category on the first day!  We are very proud of her!

So here are the paintings of the days when we were away.  The last one I was going to name Sean Truibhas, but with that crazy Celtic spelling I knew no one would be able to pronounce it, so, I've named it Fling instead.

250 days in and I'm still going despite all odds!  Some days I really wonder if it's worth anything, but I realize that's just my own melancholic temperament talking and so I keep going.
